Readathon · wrap up

The closing parenthesis of my 24 h readathon chapter

I’m cool, I’m the best, I’m better than the rest …
Sorry, I have that song stuck in my mind … we sing it in my choir.

So, I’m here to tell how great I did at this readathon! Belatedly. Suprise surprise!

It was amazing and so much fun. And I’m definitely participating next time again.

So, I read a total of 17 hours and 17 minutes in 24 hours. Which is pretty good for me. I had the unofficial goal to read for 16 hours and get through 700 pages. And I surpassed my page goal by 300 pages. That’s right, I read 1000 pages! Exactly 1000. Not one page more or less. Which is friggin’ cool if you ask me. And wasn’t intentional, I swear.

But now, let’s talk about the books I read.

I finished Origin by Jennifer L Armentrout. I feel like I shouldn’t have liked it as much as I did? But more on that in my review.

I read and finished Silber (Dream a Little dream) by Kerstin Gier. (I skipped the portion I had already read two days before with my friend. As this was a reread for me, I could start with her in the middle. Does that make sense?). This was perfect for the readathon. Light, easy to read and so cozy! I love it when a book has a great family or just these cozy scenes in between.

I read Four by Veronica Roth. I wanted to read this for so long. I really liked the Divergent trilogy back when I read them and so was quite interested in this collection. I wasn’t disappointed, but it also isn’t something you have to have read.

I read a few pages in Harry Potter y el Prisionero de Azkaban and a few in the Game of Thrones Graphic Novel Vol 3. But I stopped with the first one because I was tired and that’s not a good time to read in Spanish. And I stopped the Graphic novel because I’m also reading Game of Thrones (second German book – second half of the first English book) and they were at the same point in the story and I didn’t need to read the same twice.

And the thing I’m particularly proud of: I read 131 pages in Game of Thrones! Which may not sound a lot, but I am reading this book (these two books) for soooo long now and I struggle to get through them. So every time I get a good chunk doe is a time to celebrate!

So, I finished 3 books and read a part of 3 other ones. Not bad, not bad at all!
