July Tbr

Okay, so I decided to make myself a bit more accountable when trying to tackle my tbr.

I have so many unread books (which I adore, but also dislike at the same time) and I want to at least reduce it, so I have more read books on my shelves than unread. Which proves to be quite difficult if I keep buying more books …

But I just can’t not buy some of the awesome new releases or sequels to a brilliant series etc.

So, I’m gonna tell you all what I plan to do:

I will create a tbr jar and read at least one book that has been on my shelves for over a year and one netgalley copy. The other books can be newly aquired or whatever.
But this is starting next month.

This month I want to reduce my Currently reading pile (which currently is about 13 books and I’ll start a new one tomorrow too … I have to, ’cause for starters it’s Blue Lily Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater and second I am buddy reading it. So excited for that!)

So the books I wish to finish this month are:

  • Die Stadt der träumenden Bücher by Walter Moers (City of dreaming books)

Okay, this book is soooo awesome so far. It is incredible creative and unique and I just love everything about it.
It is all about books and adventure … what more can you want?!
Like seriously, it will definitely be one of my favourites.

  • A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson

I started this a while ago while hiking the Camino de Santiago. Actually I found this book along the way and it fit perfectly. Light and entertaining and roughly about the thing I was doing at the time: hiking (He is actually hiking the Appalachian Trail (so awesome))

  • Tintenblut by Cornelia Funke (Inkdeath)

This is actually a re-read. I’ve read the series multiple time now and I still love it.
Cornelia Funke is actually writing a continuation of the trilogy. It will be another trilogy taking place five years after this book finished. Can’t wait for the first book to come out.

The books I want to start and hopefully finish this month are:

  • Forged in Blood II by Linsay Buroker

This is the 7th and somewhat final book in an awesome steampunk fantasy series about Amaranthe, badass, and her group of men. Read it. The first is called The Emperor’s Edge and the series is just so good. The characters are the best and I can’t stop thinking about ’em.

  • Blue Lily Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater
  • The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater

Third and forth (final) installment in the Raven Cycle Series. Maggie Stiefvater is Queen.
The characters and story (so far) are truly unique and even if I am quite certain that reading especially The Raven King will destroy me I can’t wait to start.

ron harry suffer

At least I won’t suffer alone 😉

  • The Maze Runner by James Dashner

A friend of mine borrowed me the first three books in the series and she hasn’t even read them herself yet, so I definitely want to be able to give them back as soon as possible! So at least the first book has priority this month … maybe if this is an aweseomly productive reading month I can get through the second as well? Maybe?
